Roystonea oleracea was introduced to Brazil during colonial times to adorn the Emperor’s gardens. Palms of this kind were later integrated into the town planning of modern Brasilia. imperial palms takes a fleeting look – as if through a moving car’s window – dissolving this architectural grid.
